Havelock Animal Shelter
In accordance with Havelock City Ordinace 3-4 (b), all dogs, cats, ferrets, and miniature pigs in the city of Havelock are required to be licensed. The licensing period runs from January 1 to December 31 of that year, and must be renewed annually. Citations will be issued for failure to license and the reclaim fee is higher.
Licensing costs $5 for each animal and can be done either at the animal shelter, at city hall, or by mailing this form along with your payment.

Adoptions:
Havelock City Residents - $20 (includes city license)
Cherry Point Base Residents - $15
Outside City Limits - $30
Adoption fees DO NOT include any veterinary services (spaying/neutering, shots, et cetera)
Reclaims:
Havelock City Residents
- Licensed Pet: $25 + applicable board fee of $5/day
- Unlicensed Pet: $55 + applicable board fee of $5/day
Outside City Limits - $25 + applicable board fee of $5/day
On the weekend, fees must be paid in cash and exact change is required. Please contact us prior if you have any questions regarding the amount of money you should expect to pay.

Licensing
Due to our small size, we are only able to accept owner turn-ins of animals from inside the city limits. There must be some proof of ownership brought in with the animal, such as vaccination records.
Owner Turn-Ins
In accordance with Havelock City Ordinance 3-4 (a), all dogs, cats, and ferrets in the city of Havelock over 4 months of age must be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Proof of rabies vaccination must be displayed on the animal and is required for licensing. Citations will be issued for failure to comply.
